With a passion for advocacy, a talent for persuasion, and a solid background in media relations, Albright exemplifies smart communication strategy and delivers measurable results. She skillfully employs attention-grabbing, targeted news releases, fresh, appealing content, creative blogger outreach, and strategic social networking. Albright enjoys promoting worthy causes and seeks out projects that reflect her personal principles. She maintains a strong web presence, and has utilized new media to achieve her professional goals for over a decade. Her blog, Sallying.com, features commentary on technology, social media and culture.

Most recently, Albright served as New Media Director for Bentley for Governor. Her accomplishments for the campaign were singled out as “innovative” by several media outlets. Specifically, her “virtual yard sign” viral promotion played a pivotal role in Bentley’s come-from-behind surge that clinched the party’s nomination. She pioneered the use of location-based services to motivate and mobilize volunteers and publicize the candidate’s public appearances.

After the primary, Albright opened Druid City Media, a political and corporate communications firm to help general election candidates make the best use of social media in their campaigns. She also founded TheSocialMediaCoach.net, a social media training service for small businesses and non-profits, and SocialCapitol.net, a network of socially conscious Capitol Hill operatives. Albright keeps up with emerging trends in social media and curates a database of essential resources.

During the 2008 election cycle, Albright traveled with the National Advance Team for Hillary Clinton’s Presidential bid, and served as Field Director for the successful “Red to Blue” campaign of Bobby Bright for Congress, named one of the “Top House Campaigns of 2008” by the Washington Post.

Albright worked in public affairs for more than a decade after leaving Capitol Hill, most notably serving as Executive Director of the U.S. Internet Council and Executive Director of the Health Safety Net Coalition, where she successfully pursued federal funding for state high risk pools, now a critical component of President Obama’s Health Care Act. Albright began her career as a Deputy Press Secretary on Capitol Hill after studying journalism and communication studies.

Born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Albright holds a B.A. in Communications from Hollins University and has completed graduate coursework in Public Policy at Georgetown University. She continues to pursue training and education in her professional fields as well as areas of personal interests.
